IATSE National Benefits Fund health insurance coverage elections for 2Q are now open!
You have until March 15 to continue your current health insurance coverage or to downgrade. Reminder: you can only upgrade during open enrollment in November.
Coverage elections can be made through their website, iatsenbf.org, or via form letter that will arrive in the mail within the next week.
If you recently qualified for health insurance under the IATSE National Benefits Fund, you will receive a large packet in the mail. DO NOT IGNORE THIS PACKET!!!!! You need to make a choice for health insurance coverage by March 15, or prove that you are otherwise insured through a spouse or another employer; otherwise, you will be automatically enrolled into the C2 - Single Person plan. IF THEY DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE, YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE ENROLLED IN THE C2 - SINGLE PERSON PLAN!!
The IATSE National Benefits Fund Health Insurance is classified as "Employer-Based" insurance, so if you are on Husky, Medicare or Medicaid, you may lose your state-based health coverage.
As contributions to the fund are contractual per employer and made directly to the IATSE National Benefits Fund by every employer, IATSE Local 84 cannot stop contributions from being made on your behalf.
If you notice any contributions missing under your "Work History" tab, please let Secretary-Treasurer Robyn Joyce know and complete the "Missing Contribution" form on the NBF website.
